Carnessa Lynn is an artist born and raised in Idaho, based out of Boise. Her multidisciplinary artistry spans both visual & performance art. She creates primarily in acting, modeling, & acrylic paint. Each medium acts as a unique communicator; expressing both the highs & lows of life. Carnessa’s work looks at questions around identity, the beauty of vulnerability, & how art can aid in processes of healing and connection. 

 

Carnessa grew up as the black sheep in the family; nicknamed “artsy-fartsy” by her mother. While her brothers excelled in sports, she stole the show in their school’s theater productions. She also thrived in  extracurricular activities such as film studies, choir, & digital design. Those programs encouraged Carnessa’s infinite imagination, allowing her to develop notable individualism. She has received accolades at Twin Falls High School for her artistic contributions. Winning “Best Supporting Actress”, two “Best in Show” short films, as well as merit awards for production designs. 

After graduating, the continued support Carnessa gained from her loved ones boosted her confidence & desire to expand on creative endeavors. Her acting career continues to evolve with short films & commercials. In 2022, her performance in Birdhouse for the IFF, won best lead actress. She is currently prioritizing film projects while still keeping an open mind for any other artistic opportunities of interest. In her free time, you can find Carnessa exploring other art forms for the purpose of self-discovery & tranquility.
